Food Envy - Part 1

For those of you who have shared kitchens in your workspace, I'm sure you've experienced your share of passive-aggressive notes. To the left is what I discovered on the microwave on my first day of work. I think it's a good sign.

Yesterday I wasn't feeling very well, so I didn't eat much. I drank two sugar-free Red Bull's, ate two hardboiled egg whites (because I can't stand the yolk) and a raspberry Greek yogurt. Protein and caffeine - yum! I was invited to a happy hour/dinner at Rustico with my new coworkers and seeing how much I loved it the last time, I couldn't say no, even feeling yucky.

After a long deliberation, I ordered the maple balsamic roasted acorn squash salad, with cashews, pomegranate seeds, stilton and vanilla vinaigrette. It was really good, but the whole time I was eyeballing the fig and prosciutto pizza across from me. I had food envy. I walked home thinking about how good that pizza would be, then I got annoyed with myself for not ordering one to take with me. I ended up eating two veggie burgers when I got home.

As I'm sitting here now drinking coffee, that pizza is still on my mind. I think I'll order one to-go for lunch today. I'll let you know how it is!
