Sunday's Dinner
D really knows how to cook a steak. Since we're not allowed to have gas or charcoal grills in our building, improvisation is required, so he cooks them on a cast-iron skillet. He's traveling for the next week and a half, so I felt it appropriate for him to cook me dinner. Steak it was!
I threw together a salad with the fresh produce we had, which consisted of spinach, gala apple, blueberries and whole almonds.
And for the other side dish, D's parents had sent me home with a tray of delicious mashed potatoes from Back Bay Gourmet after Thanksgiving. I don't remember everything that went into them, but I do recall seeing bacon, cheese and molasses on the list of ingredients.
I can't promise this week is going to be filled with exciting calories with D traveling (and me packing to move into our new apartment), but I will do my best! I hope you all had a great weekend!
