Hi friends, I hope you all have had a fantastic weekend. I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through Costco and Trader Joe's Saturday morning and now the kitchen is fully stocked. Well, except for one item...
This morning, as part of my normal routine, I made my lunch before I left for work. Today's menu consisted of red grapes, Greek yogurt, carrots, some kind of chips with flax seed and a turkey sandwich. It's not unusual for me to eat the entire contents of my lunch bag before 11AM, which is pretty much what I did today. Almost. By 11:09, I'd finished everything but my sandwich so I made myself wait. And wait I did...
Until 12:58PM.
This turkey sandwich contained the usual ingredients - turkey, provolone, mustard, spinach, Dijon mustard - but today it was really missing something critical. Mayonnaise. I mean, is it just me or is mayonnaise the most magical condiment in the world? I've been really trying to skip the mayo, which is why we haven't had any in the fridge for months, but I need to face reality: Mayo makes the world go 'round.
Try Googling "Why is mayonnaise so good?" Google's instant search auto-fills the search bar with "Why is mayonnaise so bad for you?" Who are these people kidding? Mayonnaise is a gift from God. Yeah, I said it.
