How Much Is Too Much?

I mentioned in an earlier post that I'm preparing for the American Odyssey Relay. I've been following the schedule that was given to me, but I feel like it's a little too easy. I ran five miles earlier this morning (and another three in the afternoon), which is a small contribution to counter the offensive amount of food I ate yesterday.

Friday's consumption included: a banana; Fage Greek yogurt; two eggs, bacon and cheese on an English muffin; roasted tomato soup; a salad with almond granola, white cheddar, gala apples and onion; an eggplant parmesan sandwich; four cookies; fresh rolls with avocado, carrots, cucumber, fried tofu, lettuce and vermicelli noodles; chicken satay dumplings; and chicken pad Thai. Surprisingly, I really didn't feel that full after all was said and done.

It's now 11AM and I've yet to eat anything today, except a few cups of coffee. Perhaps I should start running in the mornings to suppress my insatiable appetite?

On a serious subject, I would like to acknowledge those whose have been affected by the earthquake and the after effects. I urge anyone who reads this post to do what they can to help  relief efforts. You never know when it could be you who needs the assistance of others!
