Is Less More?

D and I spent our Saturday afternoon milling around Clarendon. We were looking for new sheets, specifically higher thread count sheets and were unsuccessful with our hunt. Since we were in the area, D suggested we check out Eastern Mountain Sports. Low and behold, I left the owner of a pair of Merrell Barefoot Pace Gloves (shoes, for the uninformed). D had bought a pair for himself a few weeks ago and I was intrigued. I'm so happy I can now be a part of the barefoot world!!

I was anxious to try them out and although I've only run in them once as I write this, they're pretty incredible. It's a completely different feeling! These shoes have fantastic reviews, so if you are even remotely curious, I highly suggest trying a pair on the next time you have a chance.

After our stop into Eastern Mountain Sports, we dropped by Le Pain Quotidien for a quick lunch. How the heck have I not been here before? Amazing and healthy food? I was in heaven. I had the organic red quinoa salad (btw, quinoa is one of my new favorites) and was impressed. I know quinoa is high in protein, but I wasn't hungry for hours after eating -- a very rare occurrence for me.

Last, but not least, a Saturday afternoon would not be complete without cupcakes. As we walked by Crumbs Bake Shop, I couldn't resist grabbing D by the arm and pulling him inside to pick up a few cupcakes. Sorry I didn't take pictures, but I ate them before I could grab my camera.
